We’re selling our beautiful 2017 Dodge Promaster 2500 159” wheelbase, tall ceiling, custom-built camper. This is an incredible Dodge van, strong, sturdy, and reliable. Choose fully automatic transmission, or slip into pseudo manual mode and do the shifting, with 6 speeds to choose from, yourself. This van has stabilizing features, is great in the snow, an industrial strength engine, plenty of power, and parks like a car with rear view camera (same length as a full size 4 door pickup). Great clearance, fun to drive—you’re above almost everything. Sit back and take in the scenery.
With a powerful cellphone booster, the van is well-designed for a digital worker who wants to be on the road. It has lots of power — 500 watts of solar plus 300 amp hours of barely used lithium ion batteries. And hidden in her upper cabinets is a cat palace, with a ventilated, lockable kennel with access through a cat door to a carbon-filter-sealed litter box cabinet — plus a high shelf that makes an ideal kitty perch. (If you don’t have a cat, it’s great additional storage.)
With windows all around, it is bright and light in the day. Put the window coverings up at night, and it is cozy and private. This van is easy to park anywhere for the night—it looks more like NSA than Winnebago. Drive until you’re tired, then just pull over and go to sleep.
The van has a full-sized 6-inch organic foam bed that folds up to make a comfortable couch. The full kitchen boasts a microwave, a butane single burner, a spacious fridge with freezer (that can store fa week’s worth of food for two), a spacious pantry, and up to 40 gallons of running water. The hideaway folding table works for two and can be extended for four. The bathroom (toilet and shower) is simple, highly functional, and stored away when not in use. The van also has tons of storage, which makes a huge difference in making van life workable.
