PTO winch clutch?

I've seen it mentioned here before. This is the clutch that would replace the shear pin on the input shaft. Can anybody tell anything about these, how well they work, are they adjustable, manufacturers names, where to get them ect.? I am planning a PTO winch installition and am wondering about replacing a shear pin when the truck is burried in mud, not a delightful thought to say the least! I was also considering creating an acess hole in the floor for this as well but I want to look at all my options. Does anybody have any ideas on this clutch or shear-pin issue?

I could be wrong, but:
PTO winches I have had have a shear pin AND a "clutch". The clutch is a set of dog teeth that mesh with another matching set somewhere in the drivetrain of the winch, usually controlled by a lever on the winch, or sometimes by a push-pull cable. It is not a over-torque protection like the shear pin; it just puts the winch in and out of gear.
