PW on the road again!

After 3 days in the garage the PW is on the road again. One new Tie rod end and two new sway bar end links were installed. After alot of BS I finally managed to get it on th road again at no charge to me. From what I have learned from this site and a few others I managed to school my local 4x4 shop that pointing the finger at Dodge or what ever auto manufacture is not always the way to do things. Sometimes you have to own up to your own mistakes and move forward. So with that said lets hope this time around the alingment is done right (it was checked by my local Dodge dealer, and got two thumbs up) and my wheels don't point in opposite directions tomorrow.
I can assure you that I am not as confident driving this truck now as I was four days ago............we need to grow together again :smiley_drive:

Glad you're rolling again. Looking at the photo of the new one, I have to say they don't look very beefy, do they? Almost look like they're made out of cast metal. I wonder if you could have some made out of thicker stronger steel.

Agreed! In a earlier post I said they looked like they were made out of pewter. Strong they are not. You cant see it in the pic but they are almost like an Aero Chocolate bar, full of air bubbles. An upgraded is a deffenent in the future.

I agree with everyones advice about getting some upgrades. I do not know how it will affect your warranty, but it looks like you need to change the stock Dodge parts out for something better.:coffee:

Man that swaybar link is scary weak looking. I would so be looking for different options to replace them.

Glad it's back on the road.

I tend to over think things but when something like that happens and looking at the part I would buy a spare

Like everyone else above has said, those parts look weak. I would definately look into some beefier parts.

They are fine - they are designed for a tension load, not the unexpected side loading caused by a tie rod end breaking.

I don't even worry about them when off highway either since we have a disconnecting sway bar. With a push of a button they are free to move with no load.

Cast or forged, not much metal there either way.

I don't think I want that standing between me and damnation as they say.
