Question: 1st gen Sequoia and solar panel

I am looking to add a solar panel on the roof of my 2003 Sequoia. If anybody done that before, how did you route the power cable from the panel to the interior to the charge controller? I would need to route it somewhere in the rear hatch area as the battery pack is in the back.

Cable entry gland. I personally like the blue seas cable clam. Note that you’d have to drill a hole into your roof. I’ve also seen people run cable through their moon roof to avoid drilling

I have installed the solar panel on my 2003 Sequoia. I have routed the cable thru the existing openings under the rear taillight. No drilling. The cable goes down along the side of the hatch and doesn't interfere with the hatch's opening or closing. I just had to cut a small notch in the back of the taillight (invisible from the outside).
