Question for Ford SuperDuty owners

Howdy.

I just got a 2012 F250. The stock tires seem to be 31's. For those of you that have gone bigger, how do you carry a matching spare? I guess I'm really wondering how big a spare tire you can fit in the stock underbed location? 32? 33? 35? (would be nice).

Thanks.

Observe
35" fits but it's tight.
Mine is centered under the lift cable but the tire contacts the receiver.

If you have the option of a 16 inch wheel then the 255/85r16 is the perfect size tire for the stock suspension.

Yeah like they said the under bed spare tire spot fits decent tires. I'm running 285/70/17 and they fit. Gotta make sure you center then on the drop down and I crank up slowly with no issues.

I may ditch it entirely though and do the spare fuel tank from titan. Adds another 20 gallons or so and then just put the spare in the bed. Figure a mount like the old chevys or those new ones that tension mount the spare vertically.

16" hit the brake caliper, some 17 will fit but 18" are the smallest rim size that will fit without issue, plus tire selection on 18" are the best since 16 and 17 are being phased out on new trucks. 35" clear no problem, 2" spacer makes it perfect.

17 will fit no problem and the 17 has more choices.

I don't.

The smaller spare works fine up front in 2wd. Rear flat? Rotate. It's a spare. If a fullsize tire is plan A, then a spare mounted in the bed will have to do. Although the 295/75r17's I run, will likely fit.
