quick question for jk owners

Ok I own a 2006 LJ and it is perfect for me and the family, but I am thinking of moving to a 4 dr so the 9 yr old can bring a friend camping if needed. I sat in a 2010 jk the other day and found that I was staring out the windshield looking at the top 1/4 of the glass. very annoying. I know the interior was redone in 2011. Anyone else out there that's 6'2" able to tell me what it's like in the newer jks?

If I have to deal with staring thru the windshield frame I doubt i will get one, unless there are some seat lowering options I haven't read about?

:sombrero: I'm 6'5" and I adjust my '08 JKUR seat, for excellent vision thru the windshield-

The seat base is adjustable up/down (angle) and the seat moves forward/back, along with the seat back angle, being adjustable-

I can't imagine having trouble, unless you're over 6'6" tall-

I agree with Jimbo. The seat must have been adjusted all the way up. I'm only 5'11" but there's tons of headroom in my 2010. My buddy is 6'4" and has never mentioned anything about driving mine either.

I'm 6'7" and have no height issues when the seat is cranked down. The dash location/configuration is an altogether different matter. The 2007-2010 models are part of the Conspiracy Agsinst the Tall with that stupid vertical fin of a center console that slices into folks with knees. 2011+ is a bit better, thankfully.

6'6" here and love my new 2012 JK. Even added a 1" thick headliner to protect from heat.

I'm with you on that! between that dash "fin" and that stupid door pocket both my knees get an occassional wack!

At 6'2" the only vision problem was how low the rearview mirror was. I just flipped it upside down.

6'7" and can see out of our '12 Rubicon no issues. Only thing with better visibility is our '85 300GD, but it is more cramped for the seating arrangement and I view it as a totally different animal.

I've read reports of people buying custom seat brackets to physically lower the seats in the JK.
