Hopefully this won't be the last weekend getaway for the year but probably the last camping trip. Getting too old for the winter camping thing! Myself and my 11-year old daughter who is also my partner in any backcountry/camping adventures headed 3 hours north to Silent Lake in the North Kawarthas region of Ontario. Nothing crazy but a nice quick escape from the city and a chance to breathe in some clean air, do some fishing and appreciate the beauty of Autumn.
