Rain Gutter Mounts for a custom roof rack (HJ60 landcruisere)

Howdy folks,

The Yakima gear on my Landcruiser didn't survive my latin america roadtrip. I'm looking at building a simple, custom unit to replace it.

The front part will be attached to the rain rails / gutters. I need a good source for some generic mounts that can clamp onto the rails/gutters and rise up above the roof to support a low-profile rack. My truck has a high-roof, so I will need relatively tall mounts. Ideally they would be designed such that I could cut them down to size in order to keep them mounted low over the top of the roof.

Any recommendations?

They're both copies of the old con-ferr mount. DiamondRax bought out the old inventory and redesigned the mounts to make them a little more streamlined. He's a member of the ih8mud forums and owns a land cruiser, so he will probably have a mount to fit your truck or can make one. I haven't bought anything from him yet but did talk with him about some custom stuff and he was very easy to communicate with, so he'd probably be the first person to talk to.
