rear bumper opinions

Can't remember if I brought up this discussion or not previously, so starting a new thread.

Needing to sort out what to do about a rear bumper. I plan (hopefully soon) to be replacing the stock bed with a flatbed with boxes to allow better storage options, putting a quad in the bed, and having a place to sleep and camp out that is heated rather than sleep on the ground.

The issue in quesiton is what to do about a rear bumper. I currently have 2 spare tires. Many put bumper mounted spares. However, as i had something like this on my jeep in the past I realized it is a pain in the butt and went back to a stock option. But, how does it impact trucks? Probably the same I would assume... Considering 2 spares in the bed would exclude the ability to haul a quad in the back, yet bumper mounted spares can make for a pain to open the back of the truck. Bumper mounted spares seem to be the only option I can think of...

I do not want tires on the roof.

Its a compromise. So far I'm leaning toward bumper mounted tires. Just looking to get some input since theres probably a viewpoint or angle I haven't approached it from yet.

another option could be having a flatbed extended 6" without having the boxes extended, and mount the pivot on the bed, which would end up putting more weight on the bed springs and possibly raising the center of gravity some. but would reduce weight added to the bumper which will also have a 16.5k winch
