does anyone know of a company that makes something like that for a fullsize pickup? I have an 04 2500 chevy silverado crewcab 4x4 that I'm thinking of adding an arb front bumper to but first want to see what my options are for a rear bumper with tire and jerry can carrier. Thanks for any info and/or links.

the aluminess stuff looks pretty good but it's expensive! And I'm not sure how strong it is in case of an accident.

The tiregate stuff looks good too but it doesn't appear as though it's out far enough to put a camper in the bed of my truck since it goes where the tailgate is.

I had one custom built for my old Ford, cost about $1200. I have since sold the truck and now have a old Chevy and again looking for options, I do know a guy bought one of the Blazen bumpers and was very disapointed, and sold it here on Expo less then a month later.

Anything is stronger than the factory 99-06 tin-can bumpers

They've got a photo of a Sportsmobile mowing down a K-rail at an offroad event. He ran over the thing and kept going. Bumper looked good. Retail on the rear with tire carrier and a huge box is $2095. Lots 'o dinero. Aluminess got started after the Sportsmobiles outfitted with steel offroad bumpers were going through frontend parts like crazy.

To the OP - depending on where you are, I have a fabricator here in SoCal that can build anything.

He built my Rear bumper for my original Excursion and now the one on my Rover here:

The company is Castle Fab and the owner is Jon Roohk - their number is 949-916-6229 and they are located in Irvine.

I've been using Castle for about 10 years now and Jon does top notch work. Tell him I sent you - Jon Holder.

So - PM me if you want contact info. He won't be a lot less than the Aluminess, but his work is excellent!

i'd definitely like his contact info, I'm checking out all of our options. kma sounds like the most reasonable priced setup so far (the one on that tahoe link).
