Rear Handle

So I broke the rear door handle today. Thinking about just drawing it up and machining one out of aluminum instead of buying another plastic one. Anybody else want one?

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
Thought about doing the same exact thing, I've made a few out of steel but aluminum would be best. You machining these yourself or do you have a shop in mind to do the work?

I have access to everything but a 5 axis, but I'd probably get our resident machinist to hog it out for me :D

I haven't actually done this yet for any parts on the Montero, but I've been thinking about starting a Montero part library on OnShape for general community use. If you're not familiar with OnShape it's a cloud based Solid modeling program, free to use if all of your parts are public. Private access costs a nominal membership fee

The neat thing is that if there was a public repository of these parts anyone could use a prototyping shop (protolabs or similar) or a 3D print shop (stratasys direct or similar) to print/machine their parts on demand. Prints could be generated as well for local shops. And because it's web based we could get people from all over the world to contribute (maybe.)

If there is interest my first thought was to draw up a gen III strut spacer or similar easy part to gauge interest.
