Been working on a sliding drawer solution for the back of my K5 as the lockbox I had back there was just too big to really get much out of easily. It held a ton of stuff and was secure but not very accessible.
I decided I was going to build some rear drawers that would give me storage, access and utility.
I settled on mtf as it is decently strong, easy to work with and fairly durable. This is the first wood working project I have done in a long time as I have been metal and hardware with the truck and trailer build for several years.
I am stoked on the way it is coming together. I have some 200 lb drawer slides coming soon then will wrap or paint the whole box. I plan on being able to build upon it, so this is pretty much just a platform to begin with.
The rough shape getting glued
Taking shape
Got a great deal on a 63 qt from Craigslist along with the fridge slide, and bag etc.
Test fit.
