Rear Tire Carrier Latch

I am in the planning stages of my rear tire carrier build and am attempting to finalize the parts I need to order before I start. I like the latch on the shrockworks rear tire carriers but cannot find where to buy them. I called shrockworks and they said they can't tell me where they bought them but would sell one to me for $65! :Wow1: Im not a machinist or fabricator but that latch doesn't look like $65 to me. I have spent the morning educating myself on Latches, searching online distributors, and forums. If anyone has any idea where to buy one of these latches or about any other options please help me out. Also if you have any design feedback, I'm open to ideas.

I would look at McMaster-Carr, Carr-Lane, or Des-taco. One of them should carry something like that.

I have looked at des-ta-co and Carr-lane. Both make quality products but don't have what I'm looking for. McMaster- Carr is great. I haven't found a similar latch to the one shrockworks uses, but the website has many other products that I'm sure I will use in the future.

To be honest...I paid $100 for mine that was SST and beefy. Depending on the material and size...That sounds about right. I get all my stuff from McMaster Carr...Can't bet them for customer service etc..
