Well it's still got a ways to go, but it's slowly getting closer to where I want it anyway.

What I have so far;
06 F150 FX4 crew cab, 5.4L, tow package 3.73's with limited slip
Bilstein 5100's with front shocks set to +2"
3" rear blocks that replaced stock 2" blocks
35x12.50R18 BFG KM2s on stock wheels
AEM brute force intake
Xcalibrator 2 tuner by VMP tunes
Prodigy brake controller
A.R.E. Z series cap
Hella head lights, silverstar bulbs
15% window tint all around on the truck

Short term goals;
Rear slider and compression boot
Darker tint on the cap
Sleeping/camping platform in the bed ( got a few ideas but nothing in stone yet )
Catback exhaust ( MBRP? )
Pioneer F90BT or similar stereo

Longer term;
4-6" lift
4.56 gears, rear locker, front limited slip
4 wheel camper?

I also need to run an additional line from the battery into my extra fuse box, for power to the bed, ham rig, air compressor, etc. I'm not planning on lifting/gearing/locking the truck soon as there isn't much public land out here anyway. I'm hoping to get back to the west coast soon and have some area to roam, play and camp!

Nice to see another later-model truck in here. Seems most people around here prefer older vehicles for some reason.

Even though its a Ford, it looks nice! Have any trail pics or campsite pics you can share with us?

Older vehicles are cheaper and it hurts less when you get body damage.

Nice to see another F150. I have a 2000 and haven't really seen many 97+ F150 builds aside from prerunners.

Very sharp looking F150. I've always liked Chevy more than Ford, but the later model F150's look so much better than the Silverado's imo.

Mileage sucks but I didn't buy it for mileage. With 35's, AEM intake and the tuner I get 12-15mpg. Usually 12mpg is only from constant city driving, long idling, etc.
The 35's just barely fit, but they do... Like a glove! ;)
Some 35's will not fit with just a 2" lift in the front. They will only work on stock wheels, and I have around 1/4-3/8" clearance from the upper balljoint.
Eventually I'll probably go with a 4.5" superlift and some 18x9" wheels. I won't be running bigger tires, I just want to get back a little more down travel up front for a better ride off road.
I have only had it offroad a couple of times as there isn't much in the way of public land around here. I think I may have a picture of the truck dirty. Sad I know, I need to go on a road trip soon!
I'm debating on buying an extension for the Yakima Megawarrior basket I have in the garage and coming up with a way to mount it to the cap, but it needs to come off easily to keep it garaged.

Are you on any F150 only sites if so what ones. I am looking to buy a 4 door soon and the F150 is high on the list right now.

Love the truck.

Thanks

Looks great, and the fittment is nice - curious to see how it works off road. BTW what camera are you using for the pics in the first post? Very nice clear photos!

I am on f150online.com but I don't post there much. It is mostly guys with 8" lifts and 37" tires on 24" wheels it seems like. There are a few knowledgeable guys on there but a lot of junk to wade through to get good info.

The camera is a Canon Rebel XT with the standard kit 18-35, most likely with a polarized filter at the time. I would like to upgrade a bit, but there are a ton of things I would like to buy so it will wait for a while.

There is nothing new on the truck at the moment, other than window tint on the cap and a bedrug in the mail. I'm planning to set out on a road trip East bound, but the most "offroading" I'll be doing will probably be a drive down the beach.

The next few real mods I want to do kind of go hand in hand, but it's a lot of money to swallow at once (4.56 gears, 4.5" lift and new wheels to work with it).

I threw the bedrug in today and tinted the side windows of the canopy.

Sometime in the future I'll get around to building a platform of some sort back there, but this will work well for a solo trip. Heading out in the morning...
