???, honestly I don't recall saying anything about cheap shocks. I said something middle grade below the Bilsteins w/ good handling characteristics.

If if you can afford 2300$ for shocks,, by all means knock yourself out.
I can't,, and if I could,, I still would not. ??jeez.
At any rate, I found Tokico Trekmaster's.

Great to hear on the Tokicos! Sounds like they are close in price to KYBs from what I can see on-line. At least within a few $ per corner.

Just for kicks:

Looking at rears

KYB G-A-J: $30 per shock +/-
Trekmaster: $34 per shock +/-
Bilstein 4600: $80 per shock +/-
Kings: 2300/4: $575 per shock +/-

I'm NOT in the market for $2300 shocks. But glad there are people who are.

I said this exact thing some years ago before i fired my wife, after that the Montero got a bigger budget ?.

I'm NOT in the market for $2300 shocks. But glad there are people who are.

Once i finish the '98 engine swap i plan to save up and see how Kings are on IFS at stock height. Just not sure if i should convert to coilovers or run just the shocks with T-bars and standard coils.
