Recommended Winch Size for Gen 2 Montero

In the near future I want to put a winch on my Monty. I've decided to go with a Warn Winch; however I used a couple formulas with 1.5 times the weight and 2 times the weight. Every situation is unique in itself.
So far, I'm considering the 10,000 vs 12,000. I've read the archives in the 4x4wire and will go with synthetic rope [Master Pull]. Looking for suggestions. Thanks in advance............

Ill be putting on WARN8000 on mine.

10K is more than enough

I seen cheap 8k and 10k failure under extreme conditions, I got a 12k E-milemarker on mine and have used once on my self but several times on other rigs even a semi at one point with no complaints.

Beat winch is the biggest pull you can afford. I have never heard anybody say "Man I have too much winch." It's always I never have enough. As for synthetic rope, check this one out. I've been running their line for a year now, no failures and holds up great. I have the black rope.

Mount it to a plate mounted between the frame rails and tucked in nicely out of the way. Then route the winch line out through the bumper and fairlead.

The bumper itself is not strong enough to support a winch mounted directly to it without integrating additional re-enforcements.
