This Mog is stored inside all of the time (except for the sneaky rain storm that hit as I was taking pictures ;-). I have owned it for almost four years now and have done Moab, Las Cruses and local trails many times, never with any mechanical difficulties. She is a very reliable turn-key rock crawler. This UNIMOG is iconic to anyone who has searched "UNIMOG" on YouTube. It was built by, well known and respected UNIMOG dealer, Rob Pickering.

This iconic, turn-key, crawler is being offered at $20,000

Hey Chas, Yeah the G did very well in Moab, no video though sorry. I did get the 1550 out last weekend for the first time in the woods. It did great, an absolute joy, but wow talk about bush whacking! I am all of a sudden thinking about a brush cage around the cab. Also I'm reconsidering how I will paint it in the future. Any normal paint job is going to be ruined after one trip in the woods. So I'm considering a heavy duty epoxy primer coat and then some military grade spray paint as a top coat. I have a friend that uses this method on his scorpion with good results, except it is flat and not glossy, but I think I will have to live with that. I've now put on about 500 miles over the last month, and all is well, knock on wood. Now time to get a dang bed put on it.
I hope all is well with you and yours.

I've had a few "creases" in my cab extensions from wheeling with jeeps and 406/416s. I'll be doing some type of brush stuff soon. I'm thinking hydraulic chain saws mounted on the each side of the roof.
