Remounting Tires...This is driving me nutz...

All,

I did multiple searches, went to the ARB website, Googled every combination of key words I could think of, all with no luck. I recall seeing it here... Anyhow, can someone point me in the direction of the spindle like device ARB (?) produced that would mount to your winch bumper and allow you to work on a tire? This item would allow you to securely remove or remount a tire with the tool secured to the bull bar.

Ever so grateful in advance.

um.. with no disrespect, what r u talking about? can you describe it in better detail. like where on the bull bar. how it was oriented, and what ti did exactly.

i have a suspision that you are talking about mounting and dismounting a tire on a rim. however i have never seen any such configuration or contraption. perhaps it was a home fab thing.

Sorry I wasn't as clear as I shoulda been. This device mounted vertically on the bull bar, anywhere really, but ideally on the corner. It was a sort of spindle that the wheel fit on and you could mount and dismount a tire from the rim. It held the whole tire and rim securely so you didn't have to fight to mount/dismount a tire. Was rather simple in design, really. I found all the Harbor Freight and No-Marr stuff, but they have too many bits to fuss with.

Other than that, and not having the pic I obviously need to help in the description, that's all I can remember. I'm pretty sure that ARB produced the item, but may be mistaken.

Spunky.

I usually leave the tire & wheel mounted on the vehicle when using tire spoons & the like in the field. About the only unique tool needed is a bead breaker that will work in this orientation. I built the breaker that I used to use on the dune buggy and a similar one for a friend's Scout II.
