Removed Running Boards, plug holes?

Removed running boards, now I'm left with the holes from the plastic panels, what have people done to cover those?

Nothing, they are painted metal and there is no need to plug them. But if you really want to plug them there are a couple threads showing how to do it.

Do you mean that you've removed the plastic body cladding?

Correct. I removed the running boards themselves and the parts that screw into the wheel wells. On the front, this leaves 3 holes open that I need to plug somehow only for cosmetic reasons.

I pulled all the cladding from my Gen III, leaving 30-some holes per side. I learned how to weld and welded them all closed. Lots of folks have used body filler. The results vary, with the filler popping loose in many cases.

Of course, some folks just leave them.

I personally just left mine, welding or body filler both require removing paint in order to adhere to the metal, and that just opens up way too many places for rust to start if you miss a spot. Another option is always color matched body plugs that are often used for interior panels and fender liners, pretty sure google will pull them up.

I plugged mine with plastic hole plugs from Amazon that I painted to match the trim. I want to say they're 7mm plugs.
