Adventurer
I make it out west once a year. Truthfully, my Jeep does not see a ton of off-road adventure other times of year because I truly got it primarily to travel to places i could not access otherwise, mostly in the Southwest. I would love to use it more like this on the east coast, but limited time and limited locations make it more difficult.
I also am the uber-over-prepared type. I am usually geared for any possible contingency. I would like to do some travel in some of the sandier regions of the SW, like the Coyotes Buttes area or even try so e sand dunes. I have read enough reports of rigs getting stuck that I would like to be prepared for such an event. Is there any place in the SW that rents Max Trax? They are not cheap and I would have so little need for them I hate to drop the cash. I understand that some gear rental is available in Salt Lake City, but that would be several hours out of my way.
