So I just jumped into the off-road trailer game this week when I purchased an unfinished trailer project.
Base is a steel RockBox Off-Road Gen 1 trailer. It has 3 options with step fenders, water tank, and aluminum generator box. It also has an upgrade 3,500 lb axle that I will need to crawl under and identify. I scored on this one picking it up for less than half price. Supposedly it has about a half day of welding left to do but my welder buddy will be the judge of that. It is currently sitting on 37” tires on 17” rims so it was booty high for this maiden voyage since my GX is on 33’s with a 2” lift.
Step 1 was getting it home which I accomplished with a pintle hook and hitch recovery shackle. It wasn’t pretty but I had magnetic trailer lights, safety chain, lid strapped down, and my wife following me as we took only surface streets home approximately 16 miles.
