Roof rack for Kj

Looking to put a roof rack on my 04 Kj. Wondering what would be a good size and depth. Don't have cross bars.

I know the KJ guys have had good luck with Surco baskets. You could also pull your factory rails and get a custom rack made up. That's what I have on mine. Or just make up custom rack with cross rails and put what ever basket you wanted up.

Am thinking of making my own. Not sure if I should go with a 48" x 48" and depth either 4" or 6" inches deep. Do want lights on top as well.

I know that All J Products made some rectangular tube cross bars that fit into the factory holes.

You might want to post this sort of thing in the Jeep section, as it's quite specific, and you may find a few Jeep guys don't look in here as much as in there.

I am planning on switching to a Baja Rack. It would be smaller and lighter then the rack I have right now. My current rack rattles and drives me NUTS!
