Anyone have a roof rack, rails with a RTT and two bike mounts on it? Pictures? Just wondering if it is possible.

It would be on a LC 100.

Thanks,
Mike

Possibly with a narrower tent? Most likely hanging off the side a bit. How much room do two bike mounts need? 24" if oppostite?

Here is a an older gen 1 Mombasa with a bike mount on a local 100:

You could always get a hitch mounted bicycle rack - not ideal, but gets the job done in a pinch.

I ride competitively and hate having my bikes on the roof. Hitch mounts are THE way to go. They tuck the bike behind you for less crap on the roof, theyre not going to be hit by bugs and road debris and loading takes 20 secs.

Thule T2. Get it and forget it. Worth every cent

My only complaint is getting into the tailgate of my D2.

Swing down Yakima bike rack
Swing away tire carrier
Swing away jerry can holder
Open tailgate.

I dont have a swing away tire carrier on my D1 but the T2 can be pivoted down to near 270 degrees with the bike still on it. I hate having bikes on the roof. If you really want to have a bike on the roof, get some extra long Yakima or Thule bars, attach them to a rack crossmember with U bolts or something and leave it sticking out the side with good tray.

Took forever to clean the bike, can't be good for it (sorry no pics of the bike, but the truck is black, so you can imagine what the bike looked like)...

If it wasn't such a PIA, I would put the bike on top, for a mtn bike, bugs are like scars, for a road bike, I'd get a cover so it can stay all nice and pretty :)
