RTT on cargo?

New to the forum and have spent several hours searching for ideas on small cargo conversions and curious why I haven't seen many RTT's on them? I found a great deal on a new CVT locally so now I'm trying to figure out what it will be mounted on. I plan to travel with the wife and our 2 boys as well as who ever else may come a long so I'm looking for more space than just the tent or trailer. I like the idea of a 4x6-5x8 and positioning the CVT such that I would have access into the trailer either thru the side door or the rear doors from inside the annex (Mt. Rainier so 6' wide) but was surprised that I haven't really seen anyone doing this. You would effectively have up to 3 sleeping areas between the tent, trailer and annex. I can see height potentially being a problem on the 6'+ tall trailers but I wont be doing any meaningful wheeling as I sold the built XJ on 35's for a more road trip friendly 06 4Runner with a small lift.

I am. Had a 5x8 built with only 48" interior height. Just had fenders, bumper, and roof rack fabbed and just painted it this weekend. I also have a Mt. Rainer that I hope to get mounted next weekend.
The biggest drawback for me will be the tall COG when off-road, but will have a lot of versatility with a cargo. I'll post of some pics when I get the chance.

That would be fantastic. Pretty much exactly what I'm thinking about. Scouring craigslist for the whole NW daily to see what I can find. Also researching brands and cant find a whole lot out there on build quality from one to the next.

Sorry no full on side shots, but you can see the set up. Had three roof rack cross bars fabbed and bolted through top frame rail to mount the RTT.

Nice, think that's the first flat top I've seen with a RTT. My search continues .....

Mine is a LOOK Trailer made here in Phoenix. Can't remember, but I only came across a couple that still build a flat top cargo when I was looking. When I start building the interior I'll post up a build thread.
