have just a t case drop, some day I'll get the SYE
Have front sway bar disconnects.
Nice DOM fixed lower control arms.
IRON MAN adjustable upper control arms.
Rugged ridge DOM tie rod and drag link set up, which is nice and beefy but I wouldn't recommend it.
I have Rustys rear leafs
No Idea what my coils are. Just got em from my buddy.
the standard roof rack that finds its way onto many XJs.
CB.

IN THE WORKS
SYE
I'm going to get one of those new Quadratec winches and see how it does. the 9000 Lb. one
Rock sliders. Not sure what rout, I'd like to find someone to fab them for me, or I may get the JCRs
rear tire carrier, I have one from an old blazer, So I'm going to fab some rear quarter panel armor out of 1/8" plate and bolt it to that, to disperse the weight..
And I'd like to re gear her to 4.10 try and recoup some fuel.

I love this truck, I have had her for 4 years now. she got 130K on her and runs like a clock...
She goes anywhere I want her to. tho I know my limits.
This XJ was bone stock when I bought it. and Now look at her all growed up..

though I would suggest anyone who wants to go over 4" of lift to get a long arm kit.. and since RC makes a very good one for not so much money it's sound advice..
I haven't been into this Overland much. but the concept has gripped my imagination, This was built to get me anywhere I want to go and for fun trips on the weekends.
that and when the **** hits the fan I'll have a way out..
So I'm in Pittsburgh.
How yinz doin?

Good look'n XJ, have many runins with them Jagger bushes?? I grew up down there and was born in AGH on the North Side. Home town was about as NE in Alleghney County as you could get. about 4 miles from the end of my parents driveway to the Butler County line.

anyways, would love to chat with you more... sent you a PM the other day.

the 231 is a simpler t-case... less to break and cheaper to fix if and when it does break. Also, less parts equal less weight in most cases. I would consider a 242 on a Jeep I would be keeping on the road and may be going off road with once or twice a year. the 242 just gives you the option of "AWD" you can turn off if you want. I personally would not want it as I would be likey to forget it was on even with the idiot light on the dash and kill my MPG's. But that is just me. If you like the option, and want it, go for it. If I had a 242, I would be happy to take a trip down and trade you, but my parts XJ has a 231, so I would be of no help to you.

the 231 is a stronger case. and there are more cheaper options for a SYE for the 231, the Full time 4wd is nice in the winter, but not nice enough to make me sacrifice the strength of the 231 for it. If you are putting a new t case in you can pull the 231 from a durango, and it is way stronger then the jeep ones. not sure of the year dodge you need it from, but you can look that up easy enough.

well I know that the 97-99 Durango Steering Boxes are an upgrade for the XJs and they are a direct bolt in, so I would imagine that the same would be for the t-case too
