Relaxing at the hot springs with no schedule or time constraints is perfection.

Probably my favorite place to get away from it all.

Thanks for the trip report.

You have a very enjoyable writing style. I enjoyed your blog and felt like I needed to pack my truck and head out there right away. Mo and I looked very seriously at taking the volunteer camp host job for NP at Saline Valley. This being my first winter in retirement, I opted to keep my time open but I do believe that hosting there would be a lot of fun. We have spent a week exploring DV but have not gotten out to SV yet.

I love your blog. I really need to make it out to Death Valley in 2017. After moving to Reno 5 years ago I've really started to enjoy desert camping vs camping in the mountains.

Just had my first experience with these springs over New Years...significantly busier than your stay! I'm definitely going back!

anybody have good directions to the springs or better yet GPS coordinates. Might be the only way I can get SWHBO to the Valley.

There are three sets...the main, well apportioned warm springs (2 large plus a bath/shower), a upper Hot Spring and an Upper Warm Spring. The upper warm spring was nice when we were there...and no crowds...but also no "services" just the spring itself.

If your significant other has issues with nudity...these are clothing optional springs, but folks were respectful and pretty cool when we were there.

This is the main spring...others are easy to find.
