This is an easy trail with some great views!!!
Majority of the trail is easy enough to make in a car (at least when there is no snow and mud) as proven by a honda accord we saw going up
. There is however a small portion right at the top leading to the antnennaes at the top that has larger rocks and ruts and can be quite interesting. You can see mountain ranges around, desert, and Salton Sea! Top is a cool place for a lunch break with a view!
Took me about 4 hours to get up, have a lunch break and come down the mountain.
To get there from San Diego, CA take I15 north to Temecula, then exit to hwy 79 south (more like east) and make a right at the exit (east), then from 79 make a left onto hwy 371 north, then a right on hwy 74 east and after about 5 miles on your right you'll see the trail - Santa Rosa Truck Trail, NF-7S02.
