Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have been away for some time, life got the best of me.

I am planning a run up Santiago Peak this Saturday Morning, and I wanted to get peoples Opinions on the Best (relative) trails and the Most Difficult. The more difficult the better. If you have a Map, and or GPS trail or XML file with the route you recommend, please feel free to share. It would be nice to keep a inventory of trails for us Locals to use.

Also, if you want to tag along, just drop a line here.

There Aren't any Most Difficult trails leading to Santiago. South of Santiago past the Ortega Hwy (78?) you can go explore Wildamar OHV park. Wildamar is not hard either, but there are a few routes that have some rutted off camber stuff that you can mess around on.

The Main Divide crest trail just immediately south of Santiago Peak has one area that's been cut like a gravel pit, probably to make the road. There are several routes up the steep banks that are challenging, but I'm sure those are illegal, and they are only about 20' tall, so of limited fun.
