Yesterday we went up to the Big Bear Forest Fest in Big bear California and had a great day of wheeling. We (my Son & I, and a friend and his family) signed up for the Onyx Summit trail, line up was at 07:00 in the morning, pulling out at 07:30. It took us 20 minutes to get to the trailhead, where we all (23 rigs) could air down and prepare to hit the trail. The weather was fantastic, at one point on the trail, you could see out to Johnson Valley in the high desert. we went up to a monument up on Heart Break Ridge. this was for a member of the 4 wheel club, and a resident of Big Bear, who gave his life for his fellow service men, and his country in Iraq.

Everyone in the group had a great time, we went on several trails in the area, a few of them had some faily technical stuff, which challenged our abilities, and there were no mechanical problems or damage to any vehicles while on the trail.

Later when we got back to base camp, there were alot of venders showing off there stuff which we enjoyed checking out. They had some things for the kids, to keep them entertained. And after that, we enjoyed a BBQ Tri tip & Chicken dinner with all the fixins. After stuffing our face (I had seconds it was so good), they had a nice raffle at the end. The raffle went a little long (2.5 hours), which wouldn't have been so bad sep it was colder that the dickins. All in All, a very excellent day!
