I hope this is the right place in the forum for questions like these.
We have a dream to build an expedition vehicle and have seriously started looking at possibilities. Where we have started to drawn out solutions for the living quarters and which vehicles we should have.
I see that there are many people who use UNIMOG, but these are a bit too small for our use. The plan is for us to live permanently in the vehicle, so we need a bit more space. And we want to bring an ATV.
MAN is also a popular choice, here I would like to have suggestions on models. I'm trying to understand what those abbreviations mean, TGA, TGX, 26, 18, etc. See that some MANs have higher ground clearance than others.
I have also looked at the Saurer 6DM and 10DM, but there I see that these are not as popular and that makes me wonder why. Are there few parts for these, are they of poor quality or?
