Thanks for all the feedback, I went to my old supplier and had some tubing arrive today. Did all the ends, should go together tomorrow just fine. Still have to build some cable for the winch though. As to swagers, I've used the old Ancor sledgehammer system for a while, never had any issues. One of the hydraulics would be nicer, I'm sure. Maybe when harbor fright has them on sale again I'll bite.

I like the solder slugs or the pre loaded terminals. I mounted the pee loaded terminals between wood in a vise and heat the wire with a small torch. The wire is being pressed against the solder in the terminal while heating. When the wire hits the right temperature, it drops right into the terminal. Wait to push the heat shrink forward, because it can shrink before you on get it in place.

Interesting link there, Joe, thanks for the heads up. I've got the powerwerx hydraulic crimper, haven't had any issues with it or the smaller powerwerx crimpers. Still good info on that site!
