Been thinking about a weekend warrior/camping vehicle ever since we had a little girl almost 2 years ago. Finally went to look at one as price was cheap. Paint faded on top, interior rough, leaking and burning some oil, all the steering joints loose. 142k $1000 though, ac cold, 4wd works and runs good so far. Plan on fixing steering, interior detail, make a few runs and eventually plan a beach camping trip here in NC later this summer.
Probably should have held out for a nicer one but glad to finally have one. Look forward to getting it sorted out and putting it to work. Timing service, tires, valve seals later on. Been an audi tech for 10 years and have driven almost exclusively audi/VW since, so this will be a fresh change.
While looking around see this engine ground strap hanging free by the ac compressor on drivers side, just by engine mount. Looked around with a mirror but couldn't see where the bolt went, any help?
