FOR SALE: 1996 Ford E-350 Ambulance PROJECT

Location: McAdoo, Pennsylvania

Description: 7.3 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel 88k miles, Type 3 Ambulance body, 2wd

Work Done: differential service, rear brake shoes and liners, water pump, ambulance interior removed, bench seat installed.

Known problems: upper ball joints, front brakes (cylinders & calipers), right rear brake cylinder leaks/mal-adjusted, leaf springs weak, glow-plug relay (and plugs?), cab rot, no horn or high beams due to removing emergency vehicle wiring

Price: $5,000 obo

This was - and still is - a project vehicle. Purchased February 2016 from a volunteer fire company. Used as a daily driver until March 2019. Used for a few camping trips in spite of the fact that the interior was never finished.

With indirect inspiration from two books ("Manly Dominion" and "Do Something"), and encouragement from my wife, we took a unique opportunity and bought an ambulance listed on craigslist by a volunteer fire company. We had been looking off and on for a mini-van (preferably with a tow package)...

The bad: cab rust, ball joints, leaf springs, front brakes

Your options are my options: fix it, make a trailer out of it, make a garden shed out of it, scrap/part it out
Costs: time and money - I'm short on both.
