I forgot my solar panel in San Diego and didn't realize till I was nearly in NV. Anyone know anything about shipping solar panels? It's 40" long an weighs about 30lbs.

There is a limit to what UPS will carry. I know some of the smaller panels ship UPS no problem, but the larger ones usually have to go by truck. You should ask them if your panel exceeds the limit.

I called the place here in CA I got the panel from an they said about 40 for shipping and they'd send me the packing materials for 25. The problem is UPS and FedEx are very stingy on claims when it comes to broken panels because of the nature of them and you are only really guarantee 100 or 150 if you insure them for that, anything more and it becomes like pulling teeth he says.

Funny thing is the Solar Cynergy I have is now only $135.00 on their website.

This leaves me with a dilemma. Ship my panel for $65.00 and hope it makes it to Drake in one piece, if it doesn't I have to go with the next option. Or Buy a whole new panel from Solar Blvd and tie them together for 200w when I next return to San Diego.

That leaves 3 possible solutions or outcomes.
