This doesn’t look quite right. I had to bend the bracket back into shape and the harness is hanging loose. What is this SUPPOSED to look like?

Check your trailer, it may have captured the missing part.

It's been nearly a month, hopefully you figured it out by now. But you are missing the 7-pin trailer plug (the part the trailer plugs into) That is the vehicle wiring harness that attaches to the back side of the plug. That is a super common plug, used not only by Nissan but most of the auto manufacturers over time. You should be able to find a replacment at your favorite online marketplace.
