Side mount Jerry Cans D2

Is it feasible to mount Jerry Cans on the side of the Discovery 2, defender-style?

Not keen on 40kgs on the roof.

Although I am sure it is possible; I do not see the major benefit as your CG is lower than on the roof (not by much) but still not in an ideal position as say on a rear swing out. Even the rear swing out has its downfall in many situations but the best at the moment considering options.
