Simple battery protector?

Looking for a simple DIY product to protect my FZJ80 battery from discharge when sitting or running accessories. I looked on the web a bit and found nothing. Any ideas?

You might try a small solar panel that sits on the dash and plugs into the cigarette lighter or other 12v socket. Not many watts, but works fine for a small draw, is inexpensive, and available from many sources such as Harbor Freight, Pep Boys, etc.

Like this:

1.5 watts, $9.99

5 watts, $34.99

You guys are great...

The Battery Brain is exactly what I was looking for - and simple (DIY) installation.

Many thanks to you all.

Thanks, Jim.

Always good to save some money. I think I'll do the remote control model.

Will using this device result in ECU reset when it isolates the battery? I expect so. Likewise with the remote control feature. Hmmmm.

It probably would reset the ECU, but I have mine set up differently. I have the battery brain installed between my battery and aux fuse block, this way none of my accessores can kill the battery.
