Get this at CostCo for $12. Four LEDs each with a USB plug

I might paint the outer edge of the lense to get rid of the horizontal light that leaks out. otherwise I like it!

Looks pretty cool, but I have one question. Does it stay put after you 'flex' it to the position you want? I have a USB-powered light for my laptop that I stopped using 10 minutes after I got it because the stupid thing wouldn't stay in the position that I adjusted it to :littlefriend:

I like that...
going shopping tomorrow to do my part to save the economy :) Oh and see in the dark.

I will say that since I use my laptop in my truck I am looking forward to seeing how these work, especially if I can make a red cover for them.

My first impresson is that it is a little on the stiff side. Definitely not too loose.

Why do you like this better than a simple Hella map light?

Cost: about $15 for two lamps and cig adaptors versus $40 for one Hella
Current draw: don't have numbers but it's not hard to figure out LED versus filament (Have not seen a Hella LED Map Light yet)
Versatility: Cig lighter or computer USB or battery pack versus Cig lighter or hard mount
Availability: I have to drive 40 miles to see in-stock Hella lights and the CostCo is 4 miles
