Simply wiring question (On Conqueror, but not specific)

I went to use my camper's (Conqueror Compact) electronics today and the panel would not turn on. The battery is good by testing, but no lights come on. I pulled the panel to test and can't figure it out.... but I am electronically challenged. I do not use the built in charger, so my plan is to just direct wire (with a fuse and on/off switch) the pig tails left behind to the battery... what is the pitfall of such a plan? I use a Battery Tender to charge/maintain the battery and we have never run out of power while camping... just use the outlets for the fans and a light at night.

Hard to tell by the pics. Is it purely 12vdc or is there some 120vac shore power running into it?

I think the Shore power (it does have it) is down graded to 12v if you are plugged in. It never worked well for me, so I have never used shore power. The outlets are 12v, so that is why I was thinking of just wiring to the battery...

On the Conqueror Power box, you must have the battery charger engaged (unbelievably) for the shore power to feed power to the breakers in some cases. (i.e.: on some trailers- I have noticed this and on others this is not the case). On my trailer, the breakers turn on to feed 12v power, but to feed 120vac, the battery charger must be turned on.

I tore mine out after it shorted itself and replaced it with a Blue Sea fuse panel; I wired a boat charger in there and rigged an A/C box for my version of shore power.
Worked great and saved massive pounds.

It's a SA 230 volt system with a 110 plug jimmied on the end.
