After we made it to the 89, we decided to head to AZ to check out a spot a buddy of mine told me about. It wassupposedly off the 89 near Marble Canyon. All I had were GPS coordinates and my memory of directions to guide me, but I ended up picking the right gate and dirt road. It was a score!

So after "The Spot" as we called it, we headed to the north rim of the Grand Canyon, More specifically the Kaibab national Forest. The goal was to find our way out to Monument Point.

After a good while on the Forest roads we made it. We hike the Bill Hall trail for a nice little evening adventure.

Now this guy REALLY spooked me. He got all mad and luckily let me know he was there about 6ft in front of me right off the trail. It was a pink Grand Canyon Rattlesnake. Very pretty as the diamonds were very faint. He made the rest of the hike a bit nerve racking! :victory:

After exploring a bit we found a good spot to set up camp, drink some beers, and snap shots of the Grand Canyon. Great evening!!

Wow, great pics! Thanks for sharing. Thanks also for the details on the truck. Looks good. I myself have been waffling back and forth between 285/75/16 and 315/75/16 it gives me an idea what the 285 would look like.

Snakes are my biggest fear. I'm not sure I could do desert exploring for that reason alone.

Todd,
Meet in the middle and go 305/75/16!!! haha I might go up a bit to those on the next set, but I am happy with the 285's right now. They didnt kill my MPG... The camper did that! :ylsmoke:

I hate snakes too, but I love exploring.... haha Just go for it!
