Slumberjack Mummy Bags?

Anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with the Slumberjack mummy bags? I've been really pleased with their rectangular bags (Talon, 40*, long) and know others who have, too, but I haven't heard as much feedback about their mummy bags.

I'm particularly interested in the Odyssey 10* as a cooler season bag that weighs under 4#.

I know there are *better* bags out there, but the prospect of a $100 bag that will get the job done in the colder weather is appealing, especially given how little it will get used.

Any thoughts?

We bought a 20F bag outside of Yellowstone a few years back when the temps dropped to deserve it. It was cold, uneven and not worth the money. It was nowhere near 20F. With the outside temps down to 30F and sleeping inside a tent on a good Thermarest that I've used for years in the snow, that bag stank. You could see a lot of light in the baffles where the down had shifted and was filling maybe 13/-1/2 of the baffle. Just not enough fill.

other than that, it was on OK bag, just no where near its rating.

I agree. I have one. It seems decently made, but I'm cold at 25-30. I think mine is 20* rated. Not enough fill.

I spent a year outside as a backpacking guide with one and loved it. It was however back in 95 so they company could have gotten better or worse since then. I still have mine and use it in the summer. No problems.
