Looking for a small VGA (very important) LCD monitor for vehicle installation. Anyone have any good pointers?

I got nothing specifically, but I recently saw a Pimp My Ride where they put little 7" monitors in the back of a set of mud flaps. Figure if they are rugged enough to be mounted in aluminum mud flaps, probably they're OK. I have no idea if they lasted beyond the shop doors, though...

Try searching for "LCD Monitor VGA" at http://www.bhphotovideo.com/, then sort by "Price Low to High".

You'll find most of the results are larger monitors but look closer and you'll find some smaller ones that may work for vehicle installs. If you don't really need the VGA input you'll find a lot more smaller monitors.

Hope that helps.

try www.mp3car.com look in their store they have a few different models. Xenarc are a bit more expensive and a little nicer but the lilliputs have been the goign favorite because they seem to be good quality and are cheaper!:D

How small is small? I have seen 2" and 3" on e-bay for as low as $50, but that get my brain running too much and I have to log off of e-bay before I buy it (they would fit perfect in my blank for the airbag switch on my dash)! It would make a good incognito rear-view monitor and under-body IMO.

Otherwise you just have to shop around. There are tons 7" and up every where for the CarPC market.
