this is a re-hash of a post from the MUD forums, thought some of you here might be interested in what may be available. last year I was using the 20 lb (this is the size that most BBQ grills come with) on our camping trips, this large cylinder was a pain to lug around and lift in and out of my 1/4 ton Bantam trailer, plus it took up too much room.
found the 20 lb. tanks for 24.87 and 10 lb. tanks for 32.94 available at Home Depot. the 20 lb. is in the center and 10 lb. are to either side. the 10 lb. is smaller in diameter but the same height. (sorry for the crappy cell phone pic)
found this 5 lb/1 gallon at a local propane dealer for 38.00, a 20 lb tank next to it for comparision:
