Smitybilt RTT 12v question

Just picked up the XL tent and got it mounted on my trailer today . The trailer will have a deep cycle battery for some inside lights for the trailer . other than the light supplied with the tent i would like to run a small fan on occasion as well as charge 2 phones . what has everyone used inside the tent and how did you mount it . Thanks in advanced .

My tent is a hardshell and already has an LED light hard wired in. It has a 12V type plug on the outside of it where you can run an extension cord to a power source. I tapped into the wiring and installed an SAE connector. Then built a small box that houses a 12V plug and a dual usb plug and has another SAE connector. When I am in the tent I can charge my devices and then when the tent is being closed up I can remove the box. I run mine off of a Yeti 400.

All of this should be fairly easy for you to do to your tent. I have seen others with tents like yours and they have hard mounted the charging plugs permanently in the tent and then plug in when they deploy the tent. From what I remember this thread may have some ideas for you.
