Snapping in suspension after strut replacement

Hello all! I recently had my front struts replaced on my 2002 montero xls. I purchased Bilstein struts and they completely changed the feel of the rig (very ridged). After the replacement, I hear a popping noise when making hard left turns. The noise is coming from the passenger side wheel well area. I have had the sway bar linkage replaced and still have the noise. I am currently getting the strut mounts and all surrounding hardware replaced. Does anyone have any other ideas? Something in the control arms? Thanks for the thoughts.

I had the same thing happen on my 05 Montero limited after swapping in Bilsteins and Lovell's springs. I had my local mechanic build the struts ad I didn't want to deal with getting a spring compressor. The mechanic said he'd expect it to occur for a few days while the spring and the strut fully seat and and tension worked itself out. Sure enough after a few days and maybe a handful of pops its not occurred again.

Very true, this has occurred on a few of our rigs after working on the suspension.
