Planning on getting the new ARB snorkel thats coming out in the spring. I was wondering where would I bring my Kj to have it installed. Do I bring it to a body shop?:smiley_drive:

Do it yourself/get help from other ExPo members. Find out what size hole saw you will need (I might have it) and go from there. It's really not too hard and there is no reason to pay someone to do it. The only reason why I had a hard time on my Tacoma was that the snorkel was not made for my truck.

Talk to me when you finally get it and we can see what we can work out. Don't waste your money.

There is no need to have a body shop do it. I have done two installs from safari before one of which was last week on my 05 TJ. find someone or purchase the hole saw required and be sure u have about 2-3 hours of time on your hands. Minor mods to the airbox via cutting with a dremel or jig saw and putting in a few pop rivets. DIY means several things... you save the money in the long run for more additions, and also you know how it was put on so if anything ever goes wrong with it you will have a leg up. Just double check all you fittings and make sure it is all air/watertight. One place not to overlook is the seal around the top and bottom of the airbox. Just run a thin bead of silicone and let it sit overnight.:sombrero:

Who is selling the KJ snorkel? I know that a few years back DPG Offroad brought a pallet of them over from Australia, and from what I understand didn't have very good luck selling them. I had heard that he felt a bit soured about the whole experience. It looks like they were the Airflow snorkels, and he still has them to sell ($379): http://www.dpgoff-road.com/site/airflow_kj_snorkels.htm

just a bit more encouragement. its a very straightforward install. If you take your time and trust the template that comes with it, all will be well. :)

We have a list of 20/25 on LOST who are interested as soon as it hits. trying to work a deal through JeepinbyAl to handle them for us

Yup ARB is going to be bringing them in, they are unsure of the fit for the US spec KJ's.

I noticed the SS1130HF on the Safari Snorkel site before Christmas, and asked ARB about them.
