So...I pulled the trigger.

Let the modding begin. :wings:

After months of determining which direction I wanted to go I got a Certified 2007 Land Rover LR3 SE7. Java Black with a Alpaca tan interior. So far, man...I really dig this truck. :smiley_drive:

First mods I am considering - Kaymar rear swing bumper, rear tail light guards and RSS sliders.

Here she is as of Today:

This truck is my inspiration and goal:

Yee Haa!

That truck is SAN-FRAN-TASTIC!

Keep posting as the mods get moddded. I noticed there are no scratches at all. That ain't right!

Good luck with your new rig,

Awesome! By the way, skip the silly tail light guards. I had those on my rig (someone gave them to me...cruel). I was out in the local woods when a rogue branch dragged ever so lightly across the side of my rig. It was barely audible and likely didn't even leave much of a pinstripe. Then, the branch hit the edge of the "light guard" and the whole tail light exploded and was ripped from the rear of my rig. So much for protection. Sounds like I was't the first to have a light guard and branch go one on one.

They're costume more than anything.

Thanks all. I appreciate it. I am really looking forward to getting the family out with it.

Flounder...that story about the tail light guards is hilarious. :D

nice rig! First things to upgrade...no more Goodyear factory tires if you plan to wheel it which based on getting sliders you intend to do (Cooper, Nitto or GY Duratracs are good options). A full size spare (recommended) with a matching tire should fit underneath for the time being. :smiley_drive:

Have fun!

Those do-dads and similar wire brush/grille guards should be called "Damage Multipliers" :)

Congratulations on the new Rover! It looks clean and comfy. :victory:

x2, though I'd reccommend BFG AT's over the Duratracs.

I've had a Kaymar rear bumper on my 1988 XJ Cherokee for about ten years. I love it. The pivot and latch are simple and durable. The receiver hitch is inconspicuous and strong. And I just like checkerplate safety tread.

I give them high marks, and would love to have one for my Tacoma.
