So it begins.

Second trip out exploring the Nat'l forest roads with son #2 this time. He was astonished when we came to a fork and I said for him to pick a direction. I even let him steer a little bit on the way back from the dead end road.

1st mod.
Muffler clamps ($5.61, cheap mod but pricey clamps) to the rear roll-bar to hold my high lift jack. This makes the third vehicle it has been carried around in now. Perhaps, not a permanent solution but it is in there and mostly out of the way. I'm not certain how it will interfere with the soft top if at all.

1st parts order.
Rock rails with a tube for a step. #2 and the wife have a tough time getting in now. AND it will go up 3-4 inches in the future.

I was cleared to order bumpers Friday but dang work got in the way! So I'll be ordering tomorrow. :wings:

TJ LJ Question.
What in the world are the two small brackets on the rear floor area of the tub for? They are just inside the rear door but don't make contact with it or anything else. Mine aren't even scuffed but I can't figure a use for them. I was thinking about possibly building a tool drawer and they are in the way...

Pictures would be helpful.

Sounds like either rear seat brackets or those little tie down holds.

Hard to say unless you've got picture and/or describe it better.

Hard to say without pic, but are you referring to the tie-downs? Ratchet strap slides right through there.

tie down points if you're in a LJ:victory: A good set of straps, and you'll be suprised at what can be hauled back there. Even if it doesn't look natural.:Wow1:

Tie downs, thanks. Looks like a drawer attachment point to me(future mod).

No videos with my used Jeep. I'll search around on YouTube for them though.

Thanks,

PS FT and RR bumpers ordered :wings:
