I am looking for good alternative to the RA-9 controler I have.

I am looking for one that has a gauge that the panel is working and an AMP guage? There are so many controllers I'd thought I'd ask to see what is working for you guys.

Thanks

One of my friends runs a Watts-up and loves it! I thought about adding one to my camper, but I usually have an abundance of solar power, so I just don't worry about it. :)

If you want a better but not horribly expensive charge controller, try a Morningstar Sunsaver. Configurable for battery type, and temperature compensated. Mount it VERY close to the battery and use good size wiring and never think about it again. :)

Holy mark up! thats just a $30 morning star controller with weird prefab clips on it for over twice the price.

Thats a great charger and i used it for years before upgrading my solar system. I just use a clean volt meter. when volts are up I can see its working.

I have it where I can easily see it by just walking by and looking through the window.

The watt meter is a great product from what ive heard but it need to be inline with the charger and batt and most likely be in a hard to see place.
