We are selling our nearly perfect 1971 Volkswagen T2 Adventurewagen, asking 25,000 but willing to be price flexible.
It has 16,300 miles on the rebuilt engine, which is a 1600cc 4 cylinder (same as the bus originally was sold with). We are located in Los Angeles, CA. The bus has also spent all of its time in California, only spending a few months by the coast recently and has never seen snow.
Almost everything in the bus has been replaced which means it runs beautifully. There is almost no rust on the bus, except for a couple small spots in the normal places, nothing even remotely concerning. All worrying rust spots were welded out. The body is in extremely good condition and has never been in an accident.
We have every single record of the Bus on hand and the pink slip.
Compression for the four cylinders are as follows. #1 120 #2 120 #3 115 and #4 125.
Since it is a rare Adventurewagen model it does have the extended roof, with tons of storage space and around 6'0" of inside standing room. The back seats also retract out into a bed.
It has a clean California title and has passed California smog test.
Here are all known issues with the bus, all of which are minor and have not presented issues:
No rear side markers
Missing passenger wiper blade
Right turn signal has to be held in place while using
Proportioning Valve is cracked- aka just need to fill it with extra brake fluid every now and then. (also very cheap to fix if you wanted to go through that route)
My phone number is 323-527-7751, please pm or reach out to me if you have any interest.
